NATIONAL TREASURES: PARTY AT POINT PARK IS SOLD OUT

Presented by the First Horizon Foundation, the 17th annual National Treasures: Party at Point Park has officially sold out. A waiting list is set up at PartyatPointPark.com for those hoping to attend. Benefitting National Park Partners, the friends group supporting the Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park, including Moccasin Bend National Archeological District, this event invites the community to “Stand with YOUR Park” at one of Chattanooga’s most special places, Point Park.

This year’s Party at Point Park honors the core strategy team dedicated to protecting the cultural integrity and Indigenous resources of Moccasin Bend National Archeological District, including Jay Mills, Tricia King Mims, Mickey Robbins, Dan Saieed, and Congressman Zach Wamp.

A hallmark of the event is the once-a-year opportunity for guests to capture a keepsake photo at Lookout Mountain’s first tourist attraction, the iconic Umbrella Rock. The New Dismembered Tennesseans will provide the perfect musical accompaniment to the evening. Their new lineup brings new energy and purpose to a band heralded as one of the most influential bluegrass bands in the region. Originally formed in 1947 by famed East Tennessee fiddler and philanthropist, the late Fletcher Bright, along with his classmates from the McCallie School, the band continues to provide that unique style of “singing from the heart through the nose,” said original bandmate Ed “Doc” Cullis. Laura Walker, Eleanor Bright, Bobby Martin, Don Cassell, and Brian Blaylock entertain and engage in the shadow of the New York Peace Monument, erected by the state of New York in 1907 as a tribute to peace and reconciliation between US Army and Confederate veterans after the war.

Sponsored by National Park visionaries like Morning Pointe Senior Living & Memory Care and Mary Alice and Jim Wyatt, this unique annual event combines stunning views as the backdrop for an unforgettable event at Point Park. National Park Legacy Circle support for the event is provided by the Barn Nursery, Chambliss Law, Evans Lumber Company & Millwork, See Rock City, Ruby Falls, Shelley & Jack Deaton, and Julia & Keith Sanford. Additional support is provided by National Park Champions like Bell Homebuilders, Black Creek Chattanooga, EPB, East Tennessee Specialty Builders, Elder’s Ace Hardware, Henderson Hutcherson & McCullough, TuckerBuild, Doyle Attaway/Raymond James, Debbie & Mike Brown/Raymond James and the Grayson Foundation. National Park Stewards include the Bank of Lafayette, Lana & Tom Freeland, Homescape Pros, Johnson Insurance Agency, March Adams & Associates, and KW Summit Realtors: Sally Robinson, Rob Robinson, and Susanna Murdock.

Complimentary beverages are provided and guests will enjoy a Southern buffet from Events with Taste as Michelle Wells and her team serve up a delicious buffet featuring ‘southern comfort food’ classics and plant-based options.  Guests are all entered to win one of a dozen “gate” prizes, including wine, mystery prizes, local business gift cards, and beautiful artwork featuring the Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park.

Proceeds from this event support conservation, education, recreation, and community activities programs that connect residents and visitors alike with the natural, historic, and cultural resources of Chattanooga’s National Park assets.
