CHICKAMAUGA BATTLEFIELD

From Interstate 75: At Exit 350 take Battlefield Parkway (Georgia 2) west to Fort Oglethorpe. Turn left at the intersection of Battlefield Parkway and Lafayette Road. Go one mile on Lafayette Road to the park entrance and visitor center.
From Interstate 24: At Exit 180 take U.S. Highway 27 south (Rossville Boulevard) to Fort Oglethorpe. At the intersection of Battlefield Parkway, continue straight through the intersection onto Lafayette Road to the park entrance one mile ahead.

Parking: There is a parking lot located at the Chickamauga Battlefield Visitor Center. There are several spots for RVs and busses. Recreational visitors, such as hikers, joggers, and bikers, are encouraged to utilize the recreation field parking lot located on the southern end of the battlefield.

LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN BATTLEFIELD

From Interstate 24: From Exit 178, turn left onto Broad Street. Broad Street will become U.S. Highway 41 (Cummings Highway). Turn left onto TN Highway 148. Continue on TN Highway 148 to the top of Lookout Mountain. At the top, turn right onto East Brow Road. The Lookout Mountain Battlefield Visitor Center is located at the end of East Brow Road, across the street from the Point Park Entrance Gate.

Parking: There is a free parking lot at Point Park located in rear of the Lookout Mountain Battlefield Visitor Center. This lot can fill up quickly on busy days, and is not large enough to accommodate buses or RVs. In addition to the free parking lot, there is metered street parking available in the area around Point Park. Buses and RVs will need to utilize this metered street parking, or consider parking at the bottom of the mountain and riding the Incline Railroad. Please note that the parking meters are administered by the City of Lookout Mountain, TN. Please direct any inquiries regarding enforcement or the parking meters to the city. The park does not have change available. 

There is a free parking lot available at the Cravens House on Lookout Mountain. Please note that access to Point Park from this lot is via a mile and a half long trail going up the mountain. Recreational visitors, such as hikers are encouraged to utilize the Cravens House parking area. There are a limited number of parking spaces available at Sunset Rock. Do not park on the street at Sunset Rock.
