Join National Park Partners on Saturday, July 4th for a multi-generation walk through Chattanooga's history. All ages are welcome for this one-hour experience as we explore the history of the frontier town (later named Chattanooga) on the eve of the Revolutionary War. Various historical markers on Ross’s Landing, along with the Cherokee-designed “The Passage” water feature, highlight many stories that have been preserved and interpreted by the National Park Service, including the Trail of Tears National Historic Trail; the Underground Railroad National Network of Freedom; and the Civil War Campaign for Chattanooga.
Look for the National Park Partners tent at the Pioneer Village on Ross's Landing. *This is an easy walk, suitable for all ages. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes and bring water bottles.
