Join National Park Partners for a lunchtime walk at Moccasin Bend National Archeological District, following the Brown’s Ferry/ Federal Road Trace. This unique 1.2-mile roundtrip trail traverses layers of history, serving as a Trail of Tears segment in 1838; the US Army supply route during the Civil War; and more. About one hour from start to finish, we'll walk from the road to the river and share the stories of Moccasin Bend's 12,000 year history along the way.
Meet at the National Park Service trailhead on Moccasin Bend road (LINK) and bring a water bottle, bug spray, sunscreen, and your curiosity!. Parking is limited and carpooling is encouraged.

After exiting off Highway 27 onto Manufacturers Road, continue to Hamm Road and turn left. At the next intersection, turn RIGHT on Moccasin Bend Road and parking for the Brown's Ferry Federal Road will be found on the left after .26 miles, where Riverside Avenue intersects with Moccasin Bend Road.
