Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park and Outdoor Chattanooga will conduct two FREE programs on Friday, June 28. At 8:30 am. Staff will lead a 1 hour and 45 minute historical kayak tour around Maclellan Island. Then, at 10:30 am, a ranger will lead a 90 minute walking tour across Walnut Street Bridge, discussing the importance of Ross’s Landing. Both programs begin at Outdoor Chattanooga, 200 River Street, Chattanooga, TN.
The kayak tour is made possible through the generosity of the park’s local philanthropic partner, the National Park Partners. The walking tour does not require reservations, but the following reservation and paddler requirements must be met prior to participating in the kayak tour.

PADDLER REQUIREMENTS: Participants must be 14 years of age or older. Participants must know how to swim.
National Park Partners teams up with Outdoor Chattanooga on Ranger-guided educational and recreational tours of our National Park. NPP dedicates funding every year for Outdoor Chattanooga to provide bicycles and canoes or kayaks, free of charge, to tour participants (Please Note: You are welcome to bring your own bicycle if you prefer to bike events; paddling trips require use of provided equipment only.)
