Parks and Baseball! Two of America’s favorites are back together again. National Park Night with the Chattanooga Lookouts is Wednesday, July 21 at AT&T Field facing the Birmingham Barons. The first pitch is 7:15pm. Be sure to come early and stop by the National Park Partners booth to say hello. We’d love to see you and thank you for your support while enjoying our favorite home team! Keep reading to find out how you can help this year!
For more than a decade, the Chattanooga Lookouts have generously hosted a National Park Night each summer at AT&T Field. Proceeds from tickets donated to NPP by the Lookouts supported our efforts to create the next generation of park stewards. Hundreds of area youth and their families have joined us each year through our partnerships with programs such as Y-CAP, Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI), and more. Ranger-led activities before the game introduced these young folks to their National Park and the stories that shaped our city.
With the Lookouts losing an entire season of revenue in 2020 and facing attendance limits in the 2021 season, we decided to flip the script for National Park Night this year. We are collecting donations from the community to purchase Lookouts tickets and bring the Chattanooga Girls RBI League athletes and their families to National Park Night! Kids in attendance will have a chance to interact with Park Rangers and make their own baseball card, featuring famous women in history as a nod to the Girls RBI program.
Just $25 sends five RBI participants to the game and keeps the tradition alive of bringing the National Park to the community on one very special night - National Park Night with the Lookouts! Help us reach our goal of 400 tickets with your gift of support.
