Tennessee Civil War Preservation Association, in conjunction with Reflection Riding, will host a "Three Star tour", led by National Park Service Historian Jim Ogden, commemorating the 160th Anniversary of the assault on Lookout Mountain, the "Battle Above the Clouds."  This tour, on property recently protected via a conservation easement by the American Battlefield Trust, will examine the Union Army's crossing of Lookout Creek as well as the assault on Lookout Mountain.  The tour will cover 2.5 miles of walking over mild to moderate terrain.  Appropriate walking shoes and attire recommended.  Tour length:2-3 hours
 
Priority registration will be given to members of the Tennessee Civil War Preservation Association and Reflection Riding.  To register for the tour please visit

The tour is open to the public; however, pre-registration will be required as the number of participants is limited.  There is no fee for this tour.
