International Placemaking Week

National Park Partners were invited to participated in the International Place Making Week conference taking place in Chattanooga this fall. Along with NPS staff and our partners at the Bessie Smith Cultural Center we presented two programs including a walking tour, “Civil War to Civil Rights: A Different Perspective on Chattanooga’s Downtown”; followed by a panel discussion, “This Land is YOUR Land: Lessons Learned from the "Centennial and Beyond" Project between National Park Partners, Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park, and Bessie Smith Cultural Center.
